Charlie Crist hooks up with Penthouse CEO for fundraiser

They always say that politics makes strange bedfellows and here’s a story that might add some credence to that phrase.

According to Politico.com, Gov. Charlie Crist has teamed up with Marc Bell, chief executive officer of Penthouse, for a Boca Raton fundraiser.

Bell, who also heads FriendFinder — one of the world’s largest social networking and multimedia entertainment companies — has long played in political races, donating to Democratic and Republican candidates. He gave to President George W. Bush’s 2004 reelection campaign, as well as to then-Gov. Mitt Romney’s and Sen. John McCain’s bids in 2008.
